Armand Orbons 1965 - 2009

The Board of ISCOWA has the sad task to inform you, that Armand Orbons died at a young age of 44 years on 12th December 2009. He is a long-time ISCOWA member. Armand worked with ATM Moerdijk and before that for the Dutch Service Centre for Soil Treatment and Iwaco Consultants. He has supported ISCOWA in many ways. In his last job with ATM Moerdijk he really has put reuse into practice! Many hundred thousands, perhaps millions of tonnes! of cleaned soils and TAG, not just talking about: doing it!

Armand was a colourful, humorous guy and always fun to be with. I worked with him as a direct colleague (then at Iwaco consultants) from 1995 - 1998, and consider it a privilege to have worked with him. I am sure that everyone who has worked with him will miss him. Of course his wife and children will miss him the most.

Our thoughts go out to his wife Helmi and children Julia, Cleo and Luc.

The farewell service is on 18 December 2009 in Utrecht.
